Advent Calendar Day 15…Heirloom Nativity Update

Today I am representing Day 15 for Jo at Serendipitous Stitching’s Advent Calendar, sharing this day with Ariadne from Greece’s blog.

During this fun blog hop, Jo opens a “door” to a different blog each day of Advent and we post some Christmas stitching for all to enjoy!

For my Christmas stitching I want to share with you my progress in The Victoria Sampler’s Heirloom Nativity which I started just about 2 years ago!

For you regular readers you can see that I’ve met my goal for this month of making it down to the last section, the hardanger decoration at the bottom!

This section is so beautiful I want to do a learning piece first so I don’t mess it up! I aim to do that in January and any further stitching I do in this this month will be to get the Kloster blocks done in preparation for that.

Jo has also asked us to answer “What is your favorite Christmas song?” Oh, do I have to pick only one? I just can’t. For more secular carols I love White Christmas and The Christmas Song. And for hymns I am always moved by O Holy Night and What Child Is This. This one goes well with my stitching sobI’ll link to it for you, a really pretty version by Josh Groban.

If you just stumbled on my blog I invite you to now visit Jo if you want to see all the bloggers of the first 2 weeks of the Advent Calendar! And if you are coming for the blog hop, thanks so much for stopping by!

To all, Merry Christmas!
