Frosty Knotgarden and another Santa

I wanted to share with you my progress on Frosty Knotgarden. I took it from here:

To here:

It’s coming along pretty well. Whenever my kids have a big project like learning a new piano song or something for school I always ask, “How would you eat an elephant?” The answer is “one bite at a time.” So I am taking this one in little bites and the way it is laid out that is very easy to do and also makes it easy to see the progress!

I have another Mill Hill Santa to show you!

I thought I had completed the series but I found a couple more in my stash! So I made this one up as quick as a wink. The last one I will do next month-I need a break from Santa’s!

Here is the collection so far:

My next Mill Hill will be a snowflake. I had made 3 of the 6 Snow Crystals in that series for 3 of my kids, and and since then I’ve had 2 more kids so I need to make them each a Snow Crystal. If I remember, the crystals stitch up even faster than the Santas so I expect to get them done this month.

I’ve put some stitches in my various other projects but not enough to show progress. I find I can best stitch on those darker linens in the bright daylight in the car while I’m waiting in the school pick up line and that is my most shortest stitching time. But I’m glad I’ve found a way to stitch them at all!

And there’s your update for this first week of February! I hope you’re having a great week!

You’re making good progress on Frosty Knotgarden. I have all of the Santas in my stash too and am slowly making my way through them this year.

  2. Beautiful stitching, Mary! I love your collection of Santas–each one is so handsome! I always admire those of you who have the patience to do beading… I struggle with sewing on even a few beads 🙂 Happy to have found your blog 🙂

Frosty Knotgarden is just beautiful, I love the colours and how delicate it is. The Santa collection is so fun, they look amazing all together. Is this one of their designs on paper? I have never tried them because I worry about bending the paper and ruining the design. x

Mary, Knotgarden is so pretty and perfectly stitched. I too love your Santa collection. I have not tried stitching on paper yet but you have inspired me to give it a try. Have a great week. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
