Finishing Frenzy!

So I’ve been “saving things up,” and collecting materials and I have A LOT to finish.

I’m going to see how much of this I can get done for the September FFO check in.

Foxy needs to be framed…

There are a couple pillows, large and small…

A drum…

And a project that wants trim…

I know some really dislike finishing or else feel like they don’t want to spend the time on it so send it out. I don’t mind it even though it does take up “valuable stitching time!” And I don’t feel like I’m especially expert…but the feeling of satisfaction I get when I first hold a well-finished item makes it all worthwhile. I’m looking forward to those feelings this week as I plow through this pile! Check in with me mid-September to see how I do!

  1. As I mentioned on IG, your fox finish is just stunning, Mary! And I love the frame that you showed there, too 🙂 You’re going to have a busy month of finishing and I look forward to each one–they are always so well done. I honestly don’t love finishing–but I do love the process of picking out trims and accent fabrics. When the right combination appears, it always makes me happy.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words about my mom–I miss her so much, but I was so very blessed to have her in my life for 65 years. She was 93 and lived a wonderful and fulfilling life 🙂 (But, I still miss her!!!)

Mary all of your stitches are beautiful and I love your ideas for finishing them. They will all look wonderful as usual. You are one of the lucky ones if you enjoy finishing. I love coming up with the ideas but not the work of finishing. Good luck with all you have planned. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
