January 2022 Smalls Link Up

You maybe guessed based on the stitching I’ve shown this month that my small would be the Cottage Charm Stitcher’s Pocket by Milady’s Needle. I think it’s so sweet.

It is really hard to capture but the fabric is a pretty green and the threads are silk in Tortoise Shell by Belle Soie.

The stitching gets turned into a needle book which goes in a little pouch made with this included fabric.

I LOVE the fabric! But I don’t want another needle book or pouch so I think I’ll just back the stitching with the fabric for a little pillow. We’ll see how it works out.

I can’t wait to see your first Smalls for the year! Join the link up below! And feel free to take the little logo thing above if you’d like to display it on your blog!

  1. Thank you so much for hosting Smalls SAL again for 2022. I love Milady’s Needle, it’s so delicate, happy stitching.

  2. That is so pretty and will be so nice as an ornament. Love that fabric!! Can you share where you purchased it?

    1. I bought the kit, I think at The Attic, and it included everything…green linen, silk, and backing fabric which IS very pretty and I hunted a bit for it and couldn’t find more. I think it might be an old quilt fabric. I will look it up and post the name because I think she did mention it in the chart in case you want to try to hunt some down.

    2. The fabric is from a collection called Cottage Charm. I am not sure the designer. It is a quality quilting fabric similar to feel to Moda, but I’m not sure if it is Moda as there is no selvedge on my piece. I’m sorry I can’t help more, I wish I could find more of this fabric too! But you might be able to get a kit from The Attic…

  3. Your finish is really beautiful. I love the green fabric and floss together. Thank you for hosting this SAL.

  4. That’s a sweet small to start the year. Are you sure you have too many needle books??? 🙂

    1. Hm..maybe I don’t have too many but I don’t feel like making another one! I certainly have more pillows than needlebooks anyway! Maybe I will stitch it again!
