For my small this month I finished up that little tiny bee project I shared with you a few months ago. I guess I put it aside and totally forgot it. I’m glad I remembered it as it only took 1/2 hour to finish up. That over one stitching with the hand spun/hand dyed silk was a bear. I will tell you I appreciate the hand made nature of it, but the silk being hand spun was a little lumpy and not super easy to stitch over one. Ah well it is done, and you can see I finished it into a thing.
It was supposed to be a pendant. I don’t really wear things like this, so I did put a magnet in it so it can be a needleminder. But then I wished I had cut off the loop at the top. Maybe it could be a fob instead. I don’t know, it’s just really cute and for now I just stuck on my lamp with a couple other cute magnetized things. Maybe it will move to my fridge eventually!
What Smalls did you finish this month? Thanks for linking up below!
Your little bee is precious, Mary. You chose a cute frame for it.
That’s so sweet, perfect finishing
A cute little finish, and as a conifer is a parking table small particle.
Happy Stitching, Martina
Piękne maleństwo! Pozdrawiam.
Thank you!
This bee is very sweet, like his honey! I think a needleminder is a good idea, or maybe hang it from a long ribbon on a cupboard door?
Thank you Jo!
Thank you for hosting!
I very rarely stitch with anything other than DMC, so can only compare your thread to the nightmare of when I stitch with metallics. Your little bee looks lovely and the lumps don’t show at all. 🙂
