Happy St. Valentine’s Day! It is time for the Secret Stitching Sweetheart blog hop hosted by dear Jo of Serendipitous Stitching! All the participants swap stitched Valentines and then hop around to find out who got theirs!
My Secret Stitching Sweetheart sent me this lovely Valentine!
She couldn’t have known it but I have a great affection for Sunbonnet Sue because my Grandma made me a Sunbonnet Sue quilt when I was maybe 4 or 5 and I sleep under it I went off to college! How lovely to receive her all dressed up for Valentine’s Day!

I love the story behind this one. I had a Sunbonnet Sue quilt growing up as well, but when it started to fray my Mom put it away in the cedar chest. Happy Valentine’s Day!
She is a classic! Do you still have yours? Mine is still at my folks, hung up in the closet. Some of the appliqué is coming undone. I’m not sure I will use it again because it’s probably fragile to have on a bed again but I did love it.
