I have a sweet little finish this Fourth of July…Strawberry Liberty from Chessie and Me! I will probably finish it as a little pillow for my pillow bowl. I don’t have too many patriotic stitches so this will set the mood nicely for July! I hope all my fellow Americans have a wonderful relaxing day …

Another basket and even one more bird!
Last weekend I was camping with my 2 bigs kids and some friends. I needed a tiny project for down time. I selected Strawberry Liberty from Chessie and Me. Here is how it’s going. Maybe it will be my June small. One of them. Because I had yet another bird to stitch! I had to …

September (No! October!) 2022 Fully Finished Objects
I devoted a good bit of time last month to finishing 2 nice projects I completed earlier this year. But I didn’t finish them in time to share in September, so here I am sharing in October. First I turned the Chessie and Me kitty project into a needlebook. The design is called Under the …

July 2022 Smalls SAL Check In
For my Small this month, I used Jo’s People’s Choice-Pets Edition, as my inspiration to finish the stitching on a Chessie and Me project I started last year. I think it is called “Beneath the Bough.” This was supposed to be a fob. I decided it was way too big and I’d make a needlebook …
The People Choose…Pets!
I’m taking part in Jo’s People’s Choice this month to highlight pet themed stitching. For me, that means cats. Happy New Year! A 2021 Summary
In 2021 I had 28 finishes. It is much less than the number of finishes as 2020 (42 I think?) but most of them were a good deal more complex. And several of them were off my “bucket list,” projects I deemed to be high priorities in my stitching career. I also had a good …

Sampler September
Last year it was really good to participate in “Sampler September” on Instagram because it gave me a lot of motivation to work on Bathya from Hands Across the Sea. I made some good progress getting that large sampler underway. However, then I put it away to get some other things done through the end …
The People Choose…
Traditional Samplers! I didn’t always but I have really come to LOVE traditional samplers, both reproductions and adaptations/”in the style of.” I have finished a quite a few in the past couple years. You’ve seen them all already but it’s fun to gather them here for a group post. First is my favorite, the one …
Fully Finished June
Many thanks again to Rachel for hosting the monthly “Fully Finished Gallery!” It is an opportunity to show off fully finished stitches and provides great motivation every month to keep things out of the “drawer of shame.” (that special drawer or box we all have of stitched pieces that never get that final touch!) I …
