It feels like we had a short month this month with the Smalls Check In falling on the 24th! Did that catch any of you unawares? It’s ok! You have a whole week to link up with this post! I was happy to finish my Blue Flower Pin Drum by La D Da this month. …

Deviation from the plan!
I was working on Luz this week but needed a smaller project as a take along so I grabbed the small I’m planning to make for June. This is the Blue Flower Pindrum from La D Da. It’s a fast stitch!! I’m almost half done! This one is just too sweet. I really love it.
January FFOs. A last blast of Christmas cheer
I got busy in December and wasn’t able to join Rachel’s FFO Gallery with all my Christmas finishes like I’d hoped! And I’m just squeaking in this month too. In fact you’ll have to check back in later as I couldn’t get my photos in before the link up closed tonight! Anyway… I really owed …

Happy New Year! A 2021 Summary
In 2021 I had 28 finishes. It is much less than the number of finishes as 2020 (42 I think?) but most of them were a good deal more complex. And several of them were off my “bucket list,” projects I deemed to be high priorities in my stitching career. I also had a good …
The People Choose
Fancy Finishes! Every month Jo hosts us over at Serendipitous Stitching for a themed blog hop. And Fancy Finishes, the theme for December, is right up my alley! If you’ve read my blog for any length of time you know I do like to try my hand at some fancy finishing. Especially this year I …
Advent Blog Hop 2021
Welcome! It is the Serendipitous Stitching 2021 Advent Blog Hop! The theme this year is Christmas Trees! I was so happy to see that because I just love Christmas trees. My parents lived in Germany before I was born (actually I was born in Heidelberg and spent my first year there too) and collected many …
Full Finishes Part Two: Smalls!
Continuing the banner month of FFO’s for Rachel’s FFO Gallery here are the Smalls I finished up this month. I bought a little Sudberry House pin cushion for Jeannette Douglas’ Fall Posey. I went with a twisted cord instead of the suggested chenille trim. I just couldn’t find a color I loved with it and …
October Smalls
For this month’s Smalls check in, I got 2 little things done. First, I finished off Christmas Fruit Basket by Threadwork Primitives, which I had started on vacation earlier this month. I stitched it with almost all the called for colors on some Zweigart that I dyed myself with coffee. Some of my dye lots …
Yellow (Brown) Bird (Border)
Well there’s no bird yet and to me this looks brown, not yellow, but La D Da’s Yellow Bird is stitching up quickly this week. I think it is striking on the printed linen. All that is left is the bird. The border was not as tedious as I thought it might be. It’s enjoyable …
October Project Plans
After having spent an entire month on the same couple of projects I am very ready for some new things! And to get back to some old things! I couldn’t wait until October 1st. September 30 saw me start Fall Posey from Jeanette Douglas. Now this is not a “bucket list” stitch but it HAS …
