In an effort to catch up and get going again, I just want to share with you all some of the stitching that has actually happened around here in spite of the lack of blogging about it… I don’t really remember when these little things got started or finished or worked on or whatever so …

Spanish Sampler Etui Lid
Ta DAH! The lid was fun. It only took me until doing the lid to figure out the color scheme of this project with some accuracy! I’ve mostly been relying on the color copy of the project for color placement but not all my colors are positioned correctly. That’s ok. It still looks good! You …
Spanish Sampler Etui Side #4!
I finished the fourth side of the Spanish Sampler Etui! It wasn’t hard. I just needed to do it. The next thing I should do are the inner pockets which are a simple satin stitch pattern. But I decided to tackle the lid. I’m still loving this project!
WIP MAYnia#2! The Spanish Sampler Etui!
This week I focused on the next side of the Spanish Sampler Etui by Betsy Morgan. This is another one of those “little bit at a time” projects. I started here, with 2 sides done and a tiny start on the border on the 3rd side: I’m pleased to have finished the 3rd side and …

First, finishes
I know I’d said I would concentrate on Heirloom Anniversary, but being so close to finishes on 2 items I just had to spend the first days of the month getting them done. Here is Holly Go Brightly Mouse from Just Nan: She was really just an hour away from being done! And she will …

A Side and A Row
I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t resist doing the surface stitching on the first side of the etui. I could not make myself stitch more border! I just had to see how it would look! I told myself, just the grapes. Then before I knew it I had done the whole side. Now I …
Last Bucket List Start of 2021
I looked through all the projects I had put on my 2021 Bucket List and picked one very last one to start this year. It is the Spanish Sampler Etui from Betsy Morgan. I started stitching it. It is going to be INVOLVED. The first step is to stitch all the borders of the box …
August FFO Gallery: Silk and Satin Reticule
Hooray Hooray! I have a completed project! Of course if you have been following along you knew my FFO for this month would be the Silk and Satin Reticule from Betsy Morgan. I felt so lucky to get a chart of this project which was retired when I discovered it. I was able to assemble …

And *now* it’s done
It took some reworking and some final touches but now the reticule stitching is now for real and absolutely finished and all that remains is the the assembly. I got the original design for the monogram out of this Dover book of monograms which has a monogram for every pair of letters. As I mentioned …
