November 2022 Smalls Check In
Yesterday in the USA was Thanksgiving! My parents are here in Arizona for a visit. We had a wonderful feast! We truly have so much to be thankful for!
I wanted to share a finish of the Sampler Etui needlebook, but it’s not done yet! But here is my progress.
Maybe I’ll get it done this weekend. Then I can in good faith cut up this linen and (hopefully) build the box in December. That would feel like a huge accomplishment this year.
I did make other Smalls this month, for our friend Clare’s Alphabet Tree for her church’s festival of trees! Here are my contributions:
The E and O are from La D Da’s “Lovely Letters” and the I and U are from Kelmscott Designs “Hornbook Alphabet.” I might make an A to give to my cousin this year for Christmas and then I can make a cute photo collage of vowels. We’ll see how that goes. Mostly I want to finish the needlebook and then spend December on Rosehips and Ivy.
I hope if you are celebrating Thanksgiving you are enjoying warm and cozy days this weekend, and of course for all of you as we approach the end of the year! Can you believe only one more Smalls check in this year?
Hi Mary,
Good to see your letters for Clare. Well done, they are very pretty!
Guess what – I have a couple (or three small finishes)! I did my own “Naughty November” challenge but didn’t get around to blogging about it
Maybe I can join in with your Smalls Check In? Am I within time if I write a post tomorrow?
Hugs,
Barbara xx
Certainly! The link up stays open for a week or so!
Such a beautiful border. Don’t know that stitch but love the result.
Thank you so much for the letters, they are now hanging on the tree in church , there are photos on my blog
Lovely work on your letters, you definitely need an A!
