I started my next Bucket List Project: Sampler Roll from Samplers Remembered. This was truly a coup de coeur project. You may know I do not love stitching houses. Sometimes I will stitch a house if I especially like it, sometimes I\u2019ll stitch a house because I like the rest of the project so much, and once I replaced a house with some birds and flowers. Well, I LOVE this row of houses. I love the colors, I love how charming they are, I love their cute little red roofs\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"234\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marysthread.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_4352-e1625420865433.jpg?resize=640%2C234&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3626\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I also love the novel finish of this project, a horizontal roll. I have seen this design framed and that is also a tempting finish. I love both finishes so much I am wondering if I will even stitch it twice? But I\u2019ll start with following the model and see if I still love the houses after stitching all 10 of them.  Here is my start: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marysthread.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_5778.jpg?resize=640%2C348&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4336\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I can already tell I am going to love every stitch of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I still can\u2019t find my Mill Hill king and I\u2019m hoping he\u2019s not lost for good! Here is the small I propose for July. Yes, a Mill Hill butterfly (The Blue Pansy Butterfly) at last and yes, another butterfly. This must be the year of the butterfly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"552\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marysthread.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_5777.jpg?resize=640%2C552&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4335\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve been working on it during the kids swim sessions and have a good start. These are so quick compared to other types of stitching!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now are you disappointed you don&#8217;t get to see the finished Amy Mitten butterfly today? Me too. Turns out those legs are more work than I thought they would be. I have half of them done. But I am so thrilled with them so far.
