It\u2019s been a little quiet around here hasn\u2019t it?! Please don\u2019t worry, I\u2019m well but the last two weeks have been extraordinarily busy. I went on a mother\/daughter weekend retreat with my 12 year old two weeks ago and chaperoned my 14 year old son on his 9th grade camp out this past weekend. These were special experiences but left little time to stitch! Now I need to play catch up!<\/p>\n\n\n

I don\u2019t suppose any of my readers would expect to ever find a full coverage piece on Aida cloth here. And yet…never say never!<\/p>\n\n\n

Several years ago I was charmed by this tiny mountain scene chart. It reminded me of some paintings my mom had bought when she and my dad lived in Germany. And also Bob Ross’s paintings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chart is from a kit, and it was kitted with Anchor. The fabric in the kit wasn’t specified. I converted it to DMC as I don’t own much Anchor (20 skeins or so!). And looking through my stash for some evenweave, I found the perfect size scrap of Aida. It’s not my favorite to stitch on by a long shot but since it’s full coverage, I decided to use it anyway. (I’m reconsidering the wisdom of this…it is NOT lovely to stitch on!)<\/p>\n\n\n

So here I am stitching a tiny (tiny! 46 x 30) full coverage piece. I think it will measure about 2.5 x 3.5 inches. It\u2019s not my favorite project ever but the experience is good for me and I expect to like the finished product.
