I felt like I needed to reinvigorate my stitching life. I had so many plans for September that didn’t work out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think I stitched 2 tiny leaves? bushes? whatever on Bathya, but didn’t get further than that. Why? I don’t know! I don’t really carry Bathya around with me to work on because I feel like she’s too intense and most of my stitching was on the go. Well, I\u2019m not even going to show you my progress it was so scant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got stuck on Jane Plenderleath when I discovered that I had stitched the tree to the left of the house the wrong color of green. But I liked how the thread variegation laid out so I don’t want to change it. However, that means the color scheme of the 4 trees is wrong. I know it is stupid but it bothers me a lot and I think ultimately I will remove and restitch the trees on the right because I didn’t love how they were looking anywhat. Ugh. I can’t bring myself to rip that band-aid off yet!<\/p>\n\n\n

I am unsure of Luz at the moment. I was happily stitching away…but we have a model of Luz in the shop and the colors in the model are less garish than my colors. I am not sure I like my (very bright peach) color on the rose so well. The problem is I am using much older floss. I am thinking what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though mine is on top and the model is underneath and they look so similar, mine is really a lot brighter!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So, friends, that is why my Sampler September was a bust. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what I need is something new and fresh to work or else I will fall into a bad state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had kitted up Praise Jesus earlier this year to do at Easter time. I started it this weekend. I love it. The NPI silks are great, I think I’ve got a piece of Lakeside linen for it…well very nice linen anyway…and it’s going along pretty quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have want to do Rosehips and Ivy FOREVER. Have I done a Blackbird yet this year? I don’t think so. Ok, this is the one. I don’t expect to finish it this year, but let’s see if I can get a good start this month.<\/p>\n\n\n

I feel a strong need to stitch a pumpkin. Tis the season you know! Unfortunately I arrange my stash by designer, not theme, so I can’t put my fingers right on a little pumpkin chart. I found this cat however, and it fits on a handy scrap and meets the “feel” of stitch I want so I’ll do that I guess.<\/p>\n\n\n

Finally, I received this chart as a little gift after Summer School at the Attic. It is so charming and I had nice silks for it. I put it together with another linen scrap which was just the right size and it\u2019s ready to start too! <\/p>\n\n\n
