We spent all of Saturday cleaning and reorganizing our garage before it gets too hot. Our garage was full of debris and disorder from the remodel and we couldn’t get the car in it. My husband’s nice car shouldn’t be out in the sun all summer because it will ruin the paint. Mine is already old and ruined so we don’t care but anyway, the garage needed to be done. We got it all cleaned out, mopped the floors of the dust, got rid of a lot of junk, and got it all put back together. We just need to sell the excess furniture and then we have a lot of space. Yay! We took Sunday off of all responsibilities and the kids swam, watched movies, and I got to stitch all day! I enjoyed stitching in grapes! Look at these yummy grapes!<\/p>\n\n\n

But I also got distracted by a squirrel or two\u2026and with all kinds good justifications for the distractions! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Dorcas Haynes is coming along so well I can give a bit of time to some other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) I finished two (!) smalls for April (you will see them on Friday!) so I deserve to start something new!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) The Attic is making another Flosstube and wants to feature our progress and more new starts from Nashville releases! Well, you don\u2019t have to ask me twice to support that cause!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\u2026I worked on my Botanical Bee\u2026it’s almost done…<\/p>\n\n\n

I started another small project from Moments of Glad Grace. I love this funky bird! I\u2019ve seen some cute finishes of it as a little box topper.<\/p>\n\n\n

There was another funky birdy stitch from Nashville that called to me\u2026 this is Fowl Mood from Ink Circles. I was inspired to play with variegated silks on this. I got a gorgeous new fabric from Fox and Rabbit called Inca to stitch it on. It is a super pretty linen. Here is the first bird\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n

I think it\u2019s fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, I started a “must have” project for me. I have always been drawn to Jeannette Douglas’ box designs and at last I am making one. Her Garden Box from Nashville was so attractive to me! I am starting with the biscornu. I love the shape of the biscornu and this one is especially pretty with the roses. <\/p>\n\n\n

I got the wool finishing pack so I will only stitch one side and finish with the wool felt on the other. Should be a quick project. Ha ha.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
