<\/p>\nI’ve developed a bad habit of not finishing my works. I know I’m not the only one with this problem but for me it’s starting to seem unjust to all the time I’ve spent stitching! And I had an impetus this month-I finished stitching Lounging Hare from the class I took with Sherri Jones in 2016!<\/p>\n

And so I really wanted to mount it on the box! I did it!<\/p>\n

It still needs the cord trim but overall I’m pretty pleased! Now to do the tool kit that goes in the box! Look for that 5 or 6 years from now! Ha!<\/p>\n

While I was at it I decided to go back and finish some other neglected projects so here’s a little finishing flashback post for you today.<\/p>\n
First I did what turned out to be an easy little job:<\/p>\n

This is the Little Cardinal from Crossed Wing Collection’s Silken Wings series. It is on silk gauze. I stitched it last year and finally have it mounted in a Tim Holtz pocket watch. Here’s the inside to show how it works:<\/p>\n

It was super easy. The back just pops off, I gathered the stitching around a little cardboard circle padded and lined with cotton batiste. Next time I will leave off the padding because the watch has un-remove-able glass so there’s no point to padding it-it just mashes against the glass. If you have a small enough small this make a very cute easy display for it!<\/p>\n
And I finally framed my Plum Street Fraktur Friends (stitched last summer) and Drawn Thread’s For the Birds (stitched in 2016). Here they are hanging up happily instead of languishing in the drawer:<\/p>\n

I still enjoy these stitches so much! I’ll be glad to see them every day!<\/p>\n
I stitched a little this week too, mostly on the GPA English Sampler Pillow. Here it is so far. I love everything about it!<\/p>\n
