February 2022 Smalls Link Up
Hello Friends! It is (past) time for the February Smalls Link Up! I’m so sorry this post is late! Several of my family members have been sick (not Covid!) and we had a big event last night (Friday) for the start of the softball season. I was in charge of the activities on the fun field and got totally preoccupied! There’s been no stitching here in 3 days! Boo Hoo! But it all over now and I can get back to my regular occupations! Without further ado then…
I just about finished my Sugar Plum Fairy. Almost not because I ran out of time but because I ran out of beads! No problem, the designer is sending me some more. But still isn’t she cute? I will give her to my daughter whose birthday is Sunday. She will be 12! A 12 year old daughter is a beautiful thing. Mine was in The Nutcracker as one of the dolls, and also the Gingerbread Man when she did ballet a few years ago. I thought she would stick with ballet, but COVID hit and she lost interest in it after not doing it for a while. Anyway, this ornament was to remember the fun she had doing it for a season!

I wanted to finish another Small for you, but only got a start on it so I will save it for next month. Wait and see.
What have you been stitching this month?
This is so sweet, Mary! I love her blue hair 🙂 Happy Birthday to your dear daughter–lots of exciting things await with her upcoming teenage years, I’m sure. Take care now and I hope you are all on the mend very soon!
Thank you so much! Yes she is a bit funny but I think it is the designer’s style. It all looks like “It’s a Small World” to me! I am thinking of making 2 more for my other girls but switch up the colors. They could be very festive looking!
I love the ballerina. It’s very pretty. COVID has changed all our lives. I hope Miss 12 has found another activity to embrace.
Thank you!! And oh yes, she is enjoying softball!!
Piękna kolorowa wróżka! Mój starszy syn też ma 12 lat. Pozdrawiam.
Thank you! 12 is such a neat age, still a child, almost grown!
I’m sorry to hear your family have been unwell, I hope everyone is better. Sport with family makes great memories, needletime can wait a while.
I love your ballerina for your daughter, something to treasure
Thank you so much! We are all better now!
I know baseball/softball season is beginning to start here and it will be a busy but fun time for awhile. I hope everyone feels better soon. Your sugar plum fairy is really pretty.
Thank you so much! Yes busy, but a good kind of busy. It gives a lot of energy to family life!
The Sugar Plum Fairy will be a lovely reminder for your daughter of when she did ballet. I hope your family are all well now.
Thank you! And yes, we are all fine now and ready for our Spring Break!
The Sugar Plum Fairy is lovely and a great way to remember the ballet classes. Maybe she would like another form of dance instead?
Thank you! I think she is now a softball girl. But, honestly she is the least physical of my children and is a great reader. Like I was! 🙂
Hope everyone is finding their way back to being healthy. I love the Sugar Plum Fairy and you never know, it may make her nostalgic and want to dance again!
Yes! Finally all are well! She did like it…but she’s a softball girl now!
Sugar Plum Fairy is sweet, and not so spooky-looking now she has eyes! 🙂
That’s for sure!!! I used darker beads for the eyes too which I think look better!
