Full Finishes Part Two: Smalls!

Full Finishes Part Two: Smalls!

Continuing the banner month of FFO’s for Rachel’s FFO Gallery here are the Smalls I finished up this month.

I bought a little Sudberry House pin cushion for Jeannette Douglas’ Fall Posey. I went with a twisted cord instead of the suggested chenille trim. I just couldn’t find a color I loved with it and pom poms were too “fun” for this which is a bit more elegant.

And I finished the Brenda Gervais Winter Rose Bird in Basket in a tart pan.

Pom poms seemed to work on this one though!! I think because they kind of set into the ruffles of the tart pan.

Finally I have a pillow to show you. Yellow Bird from La D Da to add to my fall display here on the mantle:

Now for even more FFOs, head back to our gracious hostess Rachel’s to see the other stitchers participating this month.

Wonderful, wonderful finishes. I had to laugh, when you said that you and I have both stitched some of the same things, these are all things I have stitched too and love very much. When I bought my Sudberry House wooden base I was disappointed how dull mine looked, so I polished it first before I fitted the stitching. That chunky cording looks lovely and I can’t even see the join, you’ll have to tell me your secret.

That panicked me for a moment as I thought it was the Smalls linkup but that’s next Friday!
Love your little tart tin finishes. You chose the perfect trim for each one. The Yellow Brown Bird looks great too.

Each finish is lovely. Your choice to use cording for the first one is perfect. Beautiful work!

These are all so pretty, Mary–beautiful stitching as well as finishing! I definitely have to stitch that Winter Rose Manor small at some point–it is gorgeous!
