Sparrow Pinwheel is Finished!

Surprise! I have another finish this week…this is the little bird pinwheel from Fanny Collins 1853, by Fox and Rabbit. The pinwheel chart came with the sampler chart and was part of an Attic event.

It is stitched with 100.3 on 40 count whatever linen was provided in the kit. I know a lot of people love 100.3 but it is just not my favorite. It feels like stitching with sewing thread, which is what it is. And to me it doesn’t look or feel like silk….it just doesn’t have that softness or sheen. So I’m glad it was a small project. I do plan to finish it as a pinwheel. I have a nice pile of finishing to get to. I haven’t been very motivated to do that. Maybe I can set aside time in April for finishing.

In the meantime I will try my best to get to that Checkerboard Stag in the rest of this month. Goodness knows I’ve been talking about it enough!
