Advent Calendar Day 23: TA DAH! A Big Happy Dance

In honor of Day 23 of Jo’s Advent Calendar, I present to you my completed Heirloom Nativity from The Victoria Sampler! Finished this morning at 7:23 am, I started it in November of 2016: This piece has been a joy to work on. It gave me almost no trouble. I used the floss packs from The Victoria Sampler, which was […]

The Beginning of the End

I am doing my allocated December stitching. I have started my Joyful World December. I have re-started my Faby Reilly biscornu. I’m not sure I ever showed it before. Well, here it is now! And…I have gotten back into Heirloom Nativity. I took out the work that I wasn’t pleased with (the top middle section) and I am redoing it. […]

November Smalls Check In

Hello, Smalls Stitchers, and to all my American friends, Happy Thanksgiving! I finished my BBD “Bit of Summer” pindrum stitching! Yay! Like another stitcher I saw on Facebook, I do not really care for houses usually so I took her idea to replace the house with a bird and my initials. Then I realized the end caps of it also […]

Cute little birds

This week I finished Scattered Seed’s The Little Strawberry Thief! It is so cute! The strawberry finish should be a cinch. And now, since it is done earlier than I expected, I will try to finish my Bit of Summer pindrum from Blackbird Designs for my small this month. I made good progress this week: This is a club kit, […]

November (and October) FFOs

I didn’t get my October FFOs posted in time for the deadline last month for Rachel’s Fully Finished Object Gallery, so I saved the post and added a few to it for November! Here are 2 months of FFOs! October: First I framed Let It Bee from The Drawn Thread. Cynthia made it easy on us by planning this piece […]

Two Down!

This week I finished up November from The Snowflower Diaries’ Joyful World… And the Heart’s Content Mini Motif Sampler Fall Foliage: I’m so happy with these two! Now on to December and to frame the sampler. The kit came with a gorgeous tiny burled wood frame. The Little Strawberry Thief is coming along-hope to get it done this weekend!

Nothing is Finished

But I made progress last week! I only have a little bit of white border left on the Mini Motif Sampler, and then an easy-peasy backstitched line around the whole edge. I’ve made an excellent start on The Little Berry Thief from Scattered Seed Sampler’s club. It will be my small this month! I have my “Sunflower” floss and can […]

Three end of year goals

It’s now November so I feel like it’s time to take stock of my WIPs and see what I can get done before the end of the year. ONE: I really want to get the months done for the Joyful World Calendar. November is half done, just waiting on a thread to finish that gorgeous peacock, and put the flowers […]

October Smalls SAL Check In

And just like that it’s the end of October! I realized on Monday that this week had the last Friday of the month in it. So I had to scramble to get something done! I just made it! Phew! I decided to pick up this neglected Mill Hill project, the Vintage Rose beaded pin pillow. I had finished the cross […]

The People Choose…CATS!

Thank you, Jo of Serendipitous Stitching, for hosting this very fun Blog Hop, The People’s Choice! Of course, eventually, the People would choose CATS! 🙂 I have always loved cats. My family has always had cats. When I was engaged to my husband I said I could not live without a cat. He said no. I said we would discuss […]
