Gifted Gorgeousness April ’21

I am linking up for this month’s Gifted Gorgeousness blog hop with Jo of Serendipitous Stitching. I don’t usually participate in this one but I have Things To Share this time!
Last month was my birthday and I got a VERY special stitching gift from my husband. It is Jewel of the Sea by Georgina Bellamy which was in the most recent Inspirations book. I am just amazed by Georgina’s designs (you can find her on Instagram as thatembroiderygirl ) and am so excited to have the chance to (try to!) make one of them myself. This turtle is just darling. I read the instructions and feel like I need to make the Jenny Adin-Christie Butterfly first to get more experience with the techniques. So you can look for me to start this near the end of this year. It is definitely a project for the Bucket List!

I am also working on a little gift. I am doing a little Victoria Sampler “Beyond Cross Stitch” design for my second daughter who is receiving her First Communion and Confirmation next month.

You may remember I made one of these kits as a little box for my first daughter a couple years ago.

I am planning to finish this up for my small this month, April 30. We have a nice long month this month to get smalls finished! So you can look for it then.
You seem to enjoy stitching challenges. The turtle looks as it if will be difficult (certainly for me).
The gift for your second daughter will be lovely when finished.
Can’t wait to see your progress on the turtle, please give us some close-up pic. Lovely stitching for your daughter, the white hardanger looks great for her 1st Communion. Love how you finished this other one with this small shell charm. xxx
Thanks for taking part in GG this month. That turtle is incredible!
The box is going to be very pretty too.
Hopefully you’ll link up again as you stitch them both.
Such beautiful gifts, Mary! I love the Communion piece you made for your oldest daughter and know the younger one will be thrilled to have her very own.
