Summer Garden Roll Finished!
Woo hoo! It’s June 5 and I’ve finished Stacy Nash’s Summer Garden Roll! I had lots of time to stitch Saturday since my son had a double header (4 hours of baseball watching for me!) and then I watched the little kids swim for an hour too. After those 5 hours all I had left was the blue pot on the far right and my initials:

The spot above the birds was sort of blank and I have a Horror Vacui so I added a heart. Here’s the finish!

This project was from the Orange Coast Sampler Guild, I loved it as soon as I saw it and joined the guild in order to do this project. The other piece of the project was the little needle book which I stitched back when I first got the kit.

I’m going to take this with me when I go to visit my parents this summer. I feel like my mom can be helpful in finishing it because I have not made binding before and I think she knows about that. I plan to make the interior as a sort of patchwork with a few little pockets as I saw another stitcher do, I need to find some pretty finishing fabric that will match it.
Beautiful stitching, great finish. Good luck with your finishing plans.
A great finish!
Congratulations on the Happy Dance! This looks wonderful and I’m looking forward to seeing how you (and Mum) fully finish it!
