December = Felt Ornaments
December was a whirlwind in our household with numerous concerts and recitals and plays and holiday events. Christmas decorations went up in due course, we did a ton of baking and candy making, shopping, wrapping, playing games, listening to way too much pop Christmas carols (because 3 teenagers), and all the end of year wrap up.
I was able to finish the last 5 ornaments in the Kiriki Advent Ornament collection from last year. Here are the 5 new…

Here is the whole collection:

This was a fantastic kit. I am so excited there will be another set next year. I am hoping for… a bauble (like a shiny brite), a starlight mint or candy cane, a gingerbread person, a heart shape, a dove or cardinal, an angel, a star, a little woodland animal, a snowflake, a snowman…My goodness…I would love to make the set myself but then half the fun is the opening of each mystery envelope! Anyway, put me first in line to order the next set!
I also finished the Katie Strachan dove which I started last year. It was a gift from Jean to each Attic lady last Christmas and with everything that’s happened in the last year, it was an apt thing to finish. It is so so sparkly. I love it.

There’s no new cross stitch for Christmas this year but I did finish the Joy to Ewe pillow I stitched last year. It’s tucked into this Christmas vignette between the white heart on the right and the Merry Christmas pillow.

I’ve been hunting around for a project to start in 2026…something little but not too little…that can be finished rather quickly and can jump start my stitching in the new year. I don’t like to call it a blessing sampler but essentially that’s what it will be. Thinking of plans for the new year and wondering what I’ll be up for. Hmmmm….stay tuned! I’ll try to blog more!
