A Finish in February! And Good Progress

I picked up a little bitty project to stitch on a plane trip last weekend…it was so small I finished it! This is Christmas Scissors Basket from JBW Designs:

This was one of those projects that stitched so fast I wondered why I didn’t just stitch it when I got it. I probably spent more time thinking about starting it than actually stitching. How silly.

Anyway, I plan to finish this as an oval ornament rather than as a scissor keep (that’s why I left off the extra leaves, so it would be oval shape) with a real bow on the basket handle. It will be very cute I think.

I also brought The Red and Green Carnation Sampler. I made really good progress on it.

I think it will not be too hard to finish it this month. I’ll keep plugging away. The main slow down will be my desire to tidy up the border motifs which I think are just too wonky. That part will be coming up soon so I’ve got some decisions to make!
