Mary Ellen

It is easy to love Mary Ellen Turner. The silks, the soft colors, and my beautiful Lakeside linen make it a joy to stitch. I stitched on her all weekend. I selected to do one of the more “count-y” bits since I had good time to sit in daylight and read the pattern.

How do you like the butterfly? To have a more natural moving and not a flat, splayed butterfly is my preference.

I am not sure what these things under the butterfly are are. Pears? Bellflowers? Anyway, it feels like real progress to be able to check off finished pages. There are 12 pages (3 are short pages) I have completely finished 7-the 3 short pages and 4 full pages . Of course some of the remaining pages only have a little stitching left to fill in. For example, 2 words “child” and “thy” plus a “w” will finish this page and I will for sure get that done tonight.

I feel like I am closing in on the finish of this one.
