Sacred…how it’s going after my vacation
I spent what stitching time I had on vacation working on Sacred by Teresa Kogut. I didn’t get as much done as I hoped, but it is looking good!
We spent the week with my family at Lake Wawasee in Indiana.
We had one stormy day (we had Stitching Club in the hotel with my mom and 2 of my girls!)
and 2 nice days to spend riding the boat and tubing. To be honest mostly we sat in the restaurant and talked and waited for our food and ate and ate and ate. It is quite a good restaurant at The Oakwood Resort if you ever wish to visit Lake Wawasee.
Anyway…back to stitching…since this was a complete conversion, I discovered that 2 colors chosen didn’t really work so I also spent some time frogging and then had to wait to get home to pick alternate colors. That wasn’t too bad…I knew exactly what they should be so all is going smoothly again now.
I will be back at Dorcas this week.
In addition to what should be straightforward stitching on that acorn band, I am excited for the large floral band which is this month’s assignment as well as fitting in the remaining queen stitch leaves when I have time. The floral band includes a good amount of Montenegrin stitch and some other special stitches, as well plenty of cross stitch. I am up for the challenge and ready to have a busy month!
Both pieces ❤️❤️❤️
Lovely picture from the 4 of the stitching club.
Greetings, Gabi
I absolutely love your stitching club!! And both of your projects. 🙂
I have Dorcas on temporary hiatus — I have two time-sensitive pieces that I’m being hopelessly devoted to, but as soon as I’m done, Dorcas and I will be back together again. Reached my limit on queen stitches about 2/3 of the way through the strawberry band and picked up the next alphabet. She is really stretching my abilities, and I love it! Thanks so much for blogging about your progress.
Great progress on your pieces and I LOVE your stitching group! It looks like it was a great vacation for you all.
