Found!

Hurray! I found my missing box of finishing materials! It turned out I had packed the box myself, it was an odd shape, and wasn’t well labeled, and had gotten mixed up with boxes of computer equipment the same dimensions. But you don’t need to know that! it was important to find it because I was desperate for felt to finish the Mason Jar Mill Hill kit. I hunted more thoroughly opening every box and lo there it was at the back of everything else.

When I pulled out the felt, I found the cat ornament I had stitched for my daughter folded up with some of the felt which has also been lost. So I finished that one too. Here they are. So cute!

I also spent time this week finishing off my Velvet Pink Pear kit by Stacy Nash. I decided to make it into a peach instead. I add the butterfly charm because the hedgehog just seems to be looking at something. I gave it some floppy felt peach leaves and wrapped a little chenille around a florists wire to make the stem. The back is Rhubarb velvet. It would work as a pinkeep. Right now it has no pins and maybe one day I’ll make a bowl of velvet fruits and veggies or put a ribbon on it to hang on a branch or a seasonal tree or something but right now I only have one velvet thing like this so it can just sit with the other smalls I’ve made.

I shouldn’t have, but I started a new small project, I’ve put some stitches in some older small projects, I’ve kitted a big thing I have no business starting but I’m so tempted, and I’ve pulled out all my patriotic stuff because I feel the urge to stitch something patriotic. What should I do?!? I also need to clean my house and organize my stash. It’s out of control at the moment! I need an assistant. Please tell me I’m not the only one!!

Remember when I said I was going to do WIPGO? Turns out that’s not working for me this year!! Ha!
