I finished the stitching in the velvet carrot from Stacy Nash!

We had a great camping trip up in central Arizona the week after Memorial Day. The weather was perfect, it was so nice to have a private group site for our 3 families that went together, and our meal plan worked out really good. We ate well! I didn’t get the stitching done on this during the trip choosing instead to have a nap in the hammock! But I was able to get it done this week and have started the finish.

We saw plenty of lizards, squirrels, and birds including osprey, bald eagles, and colorful tanagers. There was an open flame ban so we could only use the propane campfire but that didn’t stop us from eating lots of s’mores. And the kids caught lots of fish and we rented a boat to enjoy this very interesting lake. It has many small inlets. And I took the big girls on a hike around the lake…5 miles. All in all it was a very nice camping trip and we’re already planning the next one.
