I missed the March FFO Gallery but I’m here to make up for it with the April one! I have several things finished up to share with you. You’ve seen them all finished before, recently, because I am mostly caught up with the things I care about finishing, and let’s be honest, which are easy and inexpensive enough to finish! […]
I had a really nice weekend! It’s been months since I’ve been able to go watch my oldest son play baseball. Usually my husband takes him because he’s one of the coaches and only 2 people for each player have been allowed to come. With 4 other kids that just doesn’t work for our family! So I listen to the […]
Many stitchers, I know, try to finish up a few last projects at the end of the year. Count me among them, I too had to wrap up a few loose ends! First is an ornament I stitched WAY earlier in the year, this little mitten from Mill Hill. This one was started by my grandma and only had about […]
In spite of all the upending of normal life these past few weeks I do have a few things to show you for the Smalls check in! First I finished my Grandma’s Mill Hill Patchwork mitten. It just needs its backing felt. I picked up a tiny little monogram fob project from La D Da…this is truly a small Small: […]
So I did pick up a new focus piece for this month, and it’s going along nicely! I decided to work on The Pink Sparrow Sampler from With Thy Needle and Thread. I have almost finished the first page (there are 4 pages in the pattern). Maybe I can get it done in a month! I am also finishing up […]
Welcome to the February 2020 Smalls SAL Check In! I got quite a bit of Smalls stitching in this month. I already showed off a couple Mill Hill ornaments and even squeezed in one more Snow Crystal! This one is Sapphire Snow Crystal. These snow crystals are super quick to stitch and very effective with the sparkly beads. Now I […]
Thanks to Rachel, I have been motivated to FFO a few more smalls this month! I already showed you my 2 Mill Hill Santas… And here is the snowflake all finished. This is Mill Hill’s “Ice Crystal” from the Snow Crystals series. I finish them very simply, the way my Grandma always did. I hot glue a ribbon/cord on for […]
I’ve really been enjoying Frosty Knotgarden! Here it is after another week of stitching: I also made up the Mill Hill snowflake I mentioned. There is very little to this one so it was basically a 3 session project for me. It needs trimming and the felt back. I’ve also been doing some “secret stitching” which will be revealed at […]
I wanted to share with you my progress on Frosty Knotgarden. I took it from here: To here: It’s coming along pretty well. Whenever my kids have a big project like learning a new piano song or something for school I always ask, “How would you eat an elephant?” The answer is “one bite at a time.” So I am […]
WOW! January 2020 is OVER! I have this theory that the older you get, the faster time seems to go because when you are a kid, each minute, or hour, or day, relative to your entire life, is a larger amount of time than when you are an adult. So one day to my 40 years is a lot less […]
