Found it! Found it!
I found my DMC 225 and finished Just Nan’s Celestial Collaboration last night. I have an ambitious finishing plan. You will not see it this month. Or even next month. This idea has to bake a while! 🙂

Well, that was quick! Poof, May is gone! Here’s how my projects stand: I did not get to a good stopping place on Autumn Quaker so I’ll just keep working on it in June. Maybe it’s about a third done? It doesn’t matter. I really like stitching on it. Next is Jump Into Spring. Jump Into Spring had an adventure […]
Welcome to the May 2020 Smalls Check In! I hope everyone got some good stitching in this month! How are things going in your corners of the world? We are not quite emerged from our isolation…mainly due to personal comfort. We are a bunch of homebodies around here! Maybe next month we will go out! Here is my small for […]
I’m just loving Autumn Quakers! Even though I feel like my colors are a tad lighter all around than the cover image (but maybe that’s just the photography) I am SO happy with my conversion. And working with my silk stash has been really fun. Here is my progress so far after a fruitful weekend. I’ll put it aside to […]
…Are the themes of my work this week. I’ve been working in Autumn Quakers from Rosewood Manor. Such a delight! And Jump Into Spring from Jeannette Douglas. Jeannette Douglas is such a marvelous designer. Her creative use of specialty stitches and variety of threads make her designs so fun to stitch! I’m really enjoying this piece. I’m not a big […]
Here is one final FFO for this month, double dipping with Jo’s Gifted Gorgeousness link up, a little present for my Sister-In-Law! Ta dah! She loves gnomes and when I saw this little guy I knew I had to make it up for her. It is just one of those little kits by Janlynn. I finished it nicely for her […]
I have a some small finishes to share for Rachel’s Fully Finished Object Gallery this month. First I finished up the JBW Spring Bouquet needlebook. See why I wanted to get this one? It’s such a pretty thing! The finishing materials were included in the kit. The fob is a tiny version of the needlebook and I’ll make that some […]
I got my 2 little WIPS dones last week, they were quickies! Here is the Christmas Ornament from GPA. This was so enjoyable to stitch with luscious silks! It would work for any number of color combinations. I like designs like that, those that can really show off the threads. I am thinking a rich purple or red would be […]
I was having a little trouble deciding what to do after The Pink Sparrow. I have way too many projects started at the moment. While I long to get into another one of the bigger ones, I feel like I need to tick a few more off the WIP list first. Of course it doesn’t help that I started a […]
Yay! It is all finished! What a nice way to end the month and start May! You will notice something different if you’ve seen other Pink Sparrows. I did not care for the dogs. I was sure I had seen someone, somewhere replace the dogs with cats. I could not for the life of me find a picture of it. […]

I started this blog in 2016 to chronicle my stitching life. My Grandma M. taught me to cross stitch when I was 7 and I’ve had a project (or many!) going since then. I am mostly a cross stitcher who regularly makes forays into other types of embroidery. A lifetime ago I studied French and art history but now I fit my stitching around a busy life raising 5 kids with my wonderful husband. Thank you for spending some time at my blog!
