Spanish Sampler Etui Side #4!

I finished the fourth side of the Spanish Sampler Etui! It wasn’t hard. I just needed to do it. The next thing I should do are the inner pockets which are a simple satin stitch pattern. But I decided to tackle the lid. I’m still loving this project!

Sampler of Stitches DEF. Jane Plenderleath

I finished the 4th section of The Drawn Thread’s Sampler of Stitches DEF. It is nice to get something done. I think this one took me longer because on several stitches I redid them in different colors after they were already stitched. Also for some reason I made a lot of mistakes that had to be redone. Hopefully the frog […]

More Jane and What I Should Be Doing

Since being back from Indiana, I have just kept working on Jane Plenderleath. As I’ve been stitching, it seems to me that it is a larger project than I expected. I guess I’ve completed 1/4 of it but it seems like I should be further along. The house was big. Perhaps the letters and floral bands will go quicker? I’m […]

A House for Jane Amid Lots of Vacation Pictures

I’ve been on a trip the past couple weeks to visit my family in Indiana. We did some camping (at a campground aptly named Raccoon Lake) We enjoyed some more lake days at a resort for my parents’ anniversary (they loved their present) And we enjoyed some of the other special things in the area… Of course we also celebrated […]

In the middle of things

Interspersed with the finishing I’ve just shown, I’ve been stitching along on my planned projects this month. I’m right in the middle of them. Here is last weekend’s work on the Drawn Thread Sampler of Stitches: And this weekend’s work so far on Betsy Morgan’s Spanish Etui : Interestingly enough, the dark red in both of these is the same…Rosewood […]

Now I’ve Sewn My ABCs

This was a little goal I had in my head for this month…to finish the alphabet part of Jeannette Douglas’s ABC Sampler. I figured if I could get my colors sorted for the ABCs, the little band and spot motifs on the bottom at least would have colors I could choose from, and there would be fewer decisions to make! […]

Helloooooo June! A May Recap and a Plan

Whew! My May stitching was so fun. I enjoyed my own little WIP Maynia. I made a lot of progress on a lot of projects! Now I need a plan for June. I will focus on finishing 2 projects for sure: The Stacy Nash Summer Garden Roll (hopefully this weekend!) Here’s my progress the past 2 days. I feel sure, […]

WIP MAYnia #6! The final one!

My final WIP for this May was the ABC Sampler by Jeannette Douglas. I started here… And just did one night stitching. I was quick and got 4 new letters done. B, D, K, and Y. I am more happy and confident with my colors. I still need to change the black U for purple. I think I’ll work on […]

WIP MAYnia #5! Luz Gonzalez!

I LOVE LUZ! I love the satin stitch/bargello patterns. I love the huge flowers. I couldn’t decide what to work on so I did a little of both. Here is where I started… Here she is at the end of the long weekend: I don’t mind taking my time working on this. It is so gorgeous. I love the Au […]

Deviation from the plan!

I was working on Luz this week but needed a smaller project as a take along so I grabbed the small I’m planning to make for June. This is the Blue Flower Pindrum from La D Da. It’s a fast stitch!! I’m almost half done! This one is just too sweet. I really love it.
