The People Choose…
SNOW!
I’m linking up with Jo of Serendipitous Stitching, for her monthly People’s Choice blog and the theme for February is SNOW! Here in the Phoenix area, February is really the start of our spring so any thoughts of snow at the moment seem out of season! I know that is a foreign concept to many of you in colder climes! But I do LOVE seeing people’s snowy scenes, and it often gives me the wish to be able to cozy up with a hot drink, warm fire, snuggly blanket, and watch the snow falling as I stitch or read a book, as many of you are able to enjoy! In those moments I miss the cold and snowy weather I grew up with and wonder if I should move back north. But then I remember the hassle of having to go out in the snow and I am content where I am! Still I really like snowmen and snowflakes are beautiful to stitch. Here is some of the snow I have stitched over the years…
Mill Hill Snowmen…
A snowflake from The Fuzzy Fox (this is my own colorway)
A Snowy Humbug (Let it Snow) from Just Nan
A Snowflake Biscornu also called “Let It Snow” from Faby Reilly:
A Snowman from JBW Designs
A Snowy Scene called “First Snow” (a freebie!) from The Drawn Thread
And finally, Snowy Scenes in the Heirloom Nativity from The Victoria Sampler
That’s a good amount of snow from this Arizona girl I think! And I have many more charts with snowflakes and snowmen I will enjoy stitching in the future!
To see more snowy stitching, head back to Jo’s to see what the others have shared this month!
Very nice show, I love the colors you chose for the snowflakes, perfect to me and such an elegant finish. Love the biscornu too, great fabric, nice snowflakes and strass in middle! Of course, the navitivy scenes are an amazing pattern. Thanks for sharing. xxx
Thank you! 🙂
Mill Hill pieces are very fun. You have some wonderful pieces! That freebie has been on my list of things I want to stitch.
Thank you! That DT freebie is not hard or large! I hope you will do it!
Beautiful snow work, I love your humbug. The Drawn Thread freebie has been on my to do list for ages
Thank you! The tree is not hard, or very big! I hope you will do it!
All your snow stitches are so pretty and finished so well. The Heirloom Nativity is a work of art, so gorgeous!! You are an amazing stitcher!
Thank you so much Mary!
I just love all of your SNOW projects. I love the snowmen and the colors you chose for the snowflake.
Thank you Mary!
These are all great snow projects Mary.
Thank you!
What beautiful snow stitching, Mary! My favorite is that stunning Victoria Sampler piece–wow! I’ve stitched a lot of snow scenes and snow men, but they fit right in up here in Pennsylvania! We’ve been snow covered for the past five weeks (although it seems like five months–ha ha!). Enjoy that warm weather of yours! ♥
Thank you so much! It is a great favorite of mine, one of the first “big” projects I ever did.
Thanks for taking part in The People’s Choice this month. You have got a lovely selection of snowy pictures. The Victoria Sampler has to be a favourite but I also like the Drawn Thread tree which I have stitched myself but didn’t show! Love the beaded snowflake too.
Thank you for hosting! 🙂
