Mary Ellen Turner

I wanted to get back to some cross stitch comfort stitching so I picked up Mary Ellen Turner these past few nights. I needed some stitching that didn’t take too much thinking,

I’ve made excellent progress on it. I really am enjoying the Belle Soie silks, both the colors and the feel of the silk. It’s coming out really pretty. I love the big fancy floral thing. The castle will be done a bit here, a bit there. It feels massive. I have the first story marked in. There is another story and then towers.

I’m listening to The Fellowship of the Ring while I stitch this and it feels like the stitching and the listening coordinate in style, so I like that.

I must get back to fillings on Dorcas this week if I want to get the band done, or mostly done, in the next month so hopefully you’ll see more of her by the end of the week too.
